Yesterday, when i was accelerating to the fullest speed from highway paytoll, i experienced an abrupt drop in power like the engine is running out of gas or the injectors aren't firing any more. Today, i pulled out the spark plugs. Three were drenched with gazoline the fourth was dry. When I start the engine with no sparks i put tissue on the top of each hole in the injector, the 3 drenched with gazoline jump out but the 4th one stays shut. I checked the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55/30/55/48/55/14/55/48/ I get zero ohm. So i assume the problem is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID with no success. The car will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it works fine when the G28 connected. However, the intermittent misfire problem persists at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even if it is not plugged in, shows a temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is 0.0 when i rev the engine.
I'm not sure what to do, i believe that i've completely ruled out all other possibilities. But i am afraid I may have missed something. If anyone has any ideas please chime in! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump of the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is similar to the G4 sender, and both operate on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. You can easily find a spare in a wrecking shop or parts store. Test them out - put your DMM in resistance mode and take measurements between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector's end up) and 2 (2nd from left on the black connector's side).
